The Big Egg Hunt

We participated in the Guinness World Record's Biggest Egg Hunt
with 12,000 of our closest friends!

Over 200 eggs were decorated by artist, architects and jewelers.
They were then scattered around London for THE BIG EGG HUNT.

We found about 20 while we were exploring London over the past few months.

This was our favorite.
Dame Maggie Smith as the Dowager Countess of Grantham from Downton Abbey.
We found it at the Fortnum & Mason Food Hall.

I even decided to make my own with a little kit they were selling at Selfridges.

Now I have my own little Union Jack Egg.

The eggs are being auctioned off for charity and I'd never afford the real one.

Last week all of the eggs were moved to Covent Garden
so we went to check out all the ones we didn't find.

Blessings to all of my family and friends on this special day.
Even though we aren't together, you are in my mind and heart always.

p.s.   Here are the rest of the my pictures.  It's less than half of the eggs.  Click on them to see them larger.

  1. So cool! I saw a few when I was in London with some friends recently, but I had no idea what they were for... now I do! They are all so amazing!

  2. Oh, I never got to see all of them in Covent Garden--how very cool was that ! I adore your own Union Jack egg--wonder if Selfridges has any more kits--that would be such fun!
